Spays & Neuters

Spays and Neuters

Spaying (for females) and Neutering (for males) is highly encouraged by The Pet Doctor to help prevent pet overpopulation which results in unwanted and uncared for pets.  Often times it prevents many future health and behavioral problems as well. We perform spays and neuters on dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and rodents. Most pets should be spayed or neutered between 4-6 months of age. With some smaller/toy breed dogs, it is better to wait until about 7 months to address common problems with retained baby teeth. The Pet Doctor is experienced at dog and cat spays in Boise Idaho.
